Directorate of Fisheries has its Head Office at Panaji. It provides Infrastructural facilities,
deals with the Registration of Fishing vessel, Fishing canoes/Fishing crafts, fishing nets etc. The Directorate also implements various developmental as well as welfare schemes for the
upliftment of the Fishermen and the fishing industry in Goa State.

while contributing towards social and economic growth of the fishers & fish farmers and
ensuring nutritional security of the State.
